It is a walkaround-type photo-album dedicated to the MiG-29 SMTs of the Russian Air Force's 14th GvIAP, based at Kursk. 42 pages, soft cover with Russian and English photo captions. We have been able to secure only twenty copies of this book from the author, and will not be able to restock.
Hardback, 224 pages. Russian text with many rare b/w photos. Sergey Isaev's book was published in a limited edition of 500 copies; we have the last nine copies. It is dedicated to the 32nd GvIAP, once commanded by Vasily Stalin, in the modern era, i.e. from 1968 until its disbanding in 1990. It covers mostly the Regiment's time spent flying the MiG-23 at Shatalovo AB, and includes its pilots' service in Afghanistan during the late 1980s.
A great new booklet from the author of the ultimate Russian-language book on the MiG-29 9-12 (see below). 40 pages of dual Russian/English text on the famous VVS aerobatics team, featuring many color photos, team biographies, and detailed diagrams of team maneuvers. The book also features a short biography of the late commander of the 237th Aircraft Demonstration Center at Kubinka AB, Colonel Igor Tkachenko, who tragically was killed on August 16, 2009, while rehearsing with the Russian Knights team for the MAKS air show. Our Linden Hill Decals 'Strizhi' decal sets are still available in 1/48 and 1/72 scales.
This superb newly published 224-page Russian-language book charts the service history of the MiG-29 9-12 (Fulcrum A) in the USSR, Russia and other CIS countries. It is profusely illustrated with many hitherto unpublished photos of the 9-12 in VVS service, many coming from the archives of MiG-29 pilots themselves, and including many new details of special regimental markings in the 1980s and 90s. The book also contains no less than 51 pages of 4C profiles and top-views. It took MiG-29 guru Anton Pavlov and his co-author Sergey Voylokov two years to complete the book, and the TLC expended on the book really shows. The 1,000 print run is selling fast in Russia and we have been very lucky to obtain a shipment. This book will not be around forever...
